How We Grow
We grow our apples with the long-term health of our orchard in mind.
We use an integrated pest management approach, which means we monitor insects and disease closely and only step in when necessary. This helps protect the crop while avoiding unnecessary treatments.
Healthy soil matters. We focus on building it through natural amendments and good orchard practices that support strong trees and consistent fruit quality.
We walk the orchard regularly throughout the growing season, making decisions block by block. Growing good apples takes attention, patience, and respect for the land.
Apple Storage Tips
To keep your apples fresh and crisp, store them in the refrigerator in a plastic bag or the crisper drawer. Apples release ethylene gas, which can speed up ripening in nearby produce, so it is best to keep them away from ethylene-sensitive items like leafy greens.
Check your apples regularly and remove any that show signs of spoilage. One bad apple really can spoil the bunch. For best quality, most apples will keep well for several weeks in the fridge, and some varieties can last even longer when properly stored.
